The Royal Observer Corps - Keynsham Post

Location: 60 Meters North of Gypsy Lane and 10 meters East of the Burnett Industrial Park access road.
Nat. Grid Ref: ST66756586
Date of last visit: 22nd August 2001

Travel from gypsy Lane, along the access road to the industrial park, for about 60 meters and you will see an overgrown mound to your left. Go between the first two set of conifers and up the bank, where you will see a rotting palette covering the entrance to the post.

There are no surface features left of the post, with all structures being removed to ground level. The entrance hatch is open but the ladder has been removed. The ventilation shaft has also been removed and a hole on the ground is all that remains of it.

Looking down the entrance shaft, you can see where rubble and dirt has been dropped in to it, however you should still be able to gain access if you had some sort of a ladder. As far as we understand, the bunker is completely empty apart from the GPO Connection Box.
