The Royal Observer Corps - Trefor Post
The post is on the left just before you enter the village of Trefor; it is located in the field wright next to the miner road. There is no boundary fence around this post. The owner lives in the bungalow next to the field, he was quite knowledgeable about this post and others in the area and was most helpful. The surface features can easily be seen next to the road, they are mostly intact apart from the louvers, which are missing and the paint, which has gone. The locking bar is still there but not locked, there are some large blocks holding the hatch closed. The post is clean and dry and in good condition, there are beds, a cupboard, table, shelf, battery box and batteries, toilet and a number of jerry cans inside. Most of the fittings like the hand pump GPO connection boxes, wiring, light and timer switches are still in place. More information of this location can also be found on the ROC Database.
